On 4 March 2022, ASSURED partners VDL Bus & Coach and Heliox took the audience virtually to the city of Eindhoven for the 4th ASSURED Demo Launch.
During the event, the Dutch project partners explored electric mobility in Eindhoven and how the city is increasing the electric fleet from 43 to 100 buses. The audience got to hear how back in 2016, VDL introduced overnight 43 18-meter electric buses.
The focus of the demo launch was on the lessons learned of five years of e-bus operation, including the development of buses and chargers. The partners shared knowledge on how to implement or up-scale electric fleets in a future-proof way, and how their participation in the ASSURED project has made the city of Eindhoven more sustainable.
