On Wednesday 27 March, ASSURED was presented during the 'Going Electric - Solutions for Urban Bus and Trolleybus Systems' seminar and policy dialogue in London.
Organised by EBRD, UITP and GIZ, the seminar aimed to provide interested cities, operators and national entities in the EBRD's countries of operation with information and guidance on current battery electric bus technology and operational experience, and the possible solutions and applications within the specific regional and country context.
The ASSURED project was presented by Aida Abdulah (UITP), alongside other e-bus projects participated in or coordinated by UITP.
Alongside UITP, ASSURED partners Heliox, Solaris and Connexxion also joined the event. Main topics of discussion were charging strategies for e-buses, battery and vehicle life, whole life costing, and electric bus projects in developing regions.
